Method 1: Measure your existing ring.
1. Grab ring that you already own which fit your desired finger well.
2. Lay ring on top of ruler, and measure the widest distance inside ring from inner edge to inner edge. Round to the nearest whole millimeter.
If you don't have a ruler, download an ring sizer app from app store or google play and follow the instructions.
3. Please refer to the measurement below to determine your ring size:
15mm (internal diameter ) - size 5
16mm (internal diameter) - size 6
17mm (internal diameter) - size 7
18mm (internal diameter) - size 8
19mm (internal diameter) - size 9
eg. The photo shows that the diameter equals 1.5cm which is 15mm - the ring size is basically the last digit of the measurement meaning the ring is a Size 5.
Method 2: Measure your finger.
Step 1: Cut a long strip of paper that is 5mm wide.
Step 2: Wrap a strip of paper around the base of desired finger. For the most accurate result, pull paper as tight as possible. *Don’t worry! The correct ring size is determined based on a tight measurement. The ring itself won’t fit that tight.
Step 3: Make sure the paper is evenly overlapped and pulled tight, and mark where the strip of paper meets itself.
Step 4: Measure the length of the strip of paper in millimeters.
Step 5: Use the below chart to determine your ring size.
We use both USA/CA and UK/AUS/NZ sizing. If you already know your size, please use this ring size chart to determine your size.
Please measure your finger when they are warm as cold fingers will measure smaller. Alcohol and salt can make your finger swell, so refrain from measuring them after cocktails and appetizers. If you are unsure about your size, please get in touch with us before making an order.
Method 3: Use a ring sizer.
A ring sizer is a great way to get an accurate reading of your ring size at home before purchasing a ring. To use the ring sizer:
1. Take the tip of the ring sizer and push it through the buckle to make a loop (it’s like a belt!)
2. Put the loop on your finger.
3. Once the loop is on your finger, pull the end of the belt to tighten the loop around your finger.
4. This next step is the most important - the sizer must be able to come on and off your finger (like a ring would). You should feel resistance when sliding it past your knuckle, but it should be able to come on and off. If this is possible, the ring fits - comfortable doesn’t mean loose. It’s important that the ring fits snugly, otherwise it will be too big on your finger.
Method 4: Visit a jewellery store.
Most jewellery store will size you for free whether you're buying from them or not.
Tip: do this as your first stop and wait to have lunch until afterwards - your fingers can swell after meals, drinks, or a big session of retail therapy.
Things to keep in mind.
Finger size fluctuates slightly from day to day and dramatically from season to season. Because hot days, salty meals, pregnancy and arthritis all have their hands on the dial that controls the diameter of your digits, there isn’t necessarily a “perfect fit.” Even if you could arrive at a stable measurement for the part of the finger where the ring is going to sit, you still have to account for variables like the knuckles.
If your budget allows, get a couple different sizes to try on to see which size fits the best and return the others (For example, if you think you are size 6, buy both size 5 and 6 and return one of them)
If you are truly between sizes, it’s always best to choose a ring that’s slightly too large rather than slightly too small. You don’t want to risk getting it stuck on your finger.
For stackable rings, when in doubt, please size up. Many of our bands are thicker, which may make the piece feel more snug. The more you stack, the tighter the rings will feel.
For adjustable rings, one ring usually fits all size from US 5-9. It's also a great solution for large knuckles.
Don't stress. You're in good hands.
